Fatal Saugerties crash claims two lives
Two individuals tragically lost their lives following a collision between two vehicles in Saugerties on Thursday morning. The Saugerties Police Department responded to a head-on crash on Kings Highway before 5:30 a.m. The incident involved a 2023 Toyota Corolla and a 2022 Ford F-150. The driver of the Toyota, a 65-year-old man from Waterbury, Connecticut, and his 61-year-old passenger were declared deceased at the scene. The driver of the Ford, a 19-year-old from Lake Katrine, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Health Alliance Hospital. The authorities are investigating the crash, with no tickets or arrests expected at this time. Multiple agencies, including the Ulster County District Attorney’s Office, state police, and various emergency responders, assisted at the accident site.
