
Fatal road rage crash claims life of box truck driver in Long Beach
An altercation between two drivers in Long Beach led to a tragic crash that resulted in the death of a bystander and injuries to two others. The Long Beach Police Department reported that the fatal accident occurred near 7th Street and Margo Avenue at around 11:45 a.m. on Wednesday, with speed and reckless driving cited as factors by authorities. Initial findings indicate that two vehicles, a Tesla Model 3 and a dark Subaru, were involved in a road rage incident, weaving through traffic before the Tesla collided with a box truck carrying hazardous materials. The impact caused the box truck to crash through a wall and overturn. The driver of the box truck was killed, and two passengers were hospitalized. The Tesla driver also sustained injuries. Officials confirmed that no hazardous materials were released. The identity of the deceased driver is being withheld until family notification.
