Fatal plane crash on Massachusetts highway leaves 2 dead

Two individuals tragically lost their lives in a plane crash this morning on I-195 in Dartmouth, Massachusetts. The incident occurred near Exit 19 and both sides of the highway were closed at Exit 22 as emergency responders swiftly arrived at the scene. Mayor Jon Mitchell expressed his condolences to the families of the victims and commended the quick and efficient response of the responders. Videos on social media captured the wreckage with flames visible on the highway. A witness, Jennifer Jacob, described the scene as a full wreck, with pieces of the aircraft scattered across the roadway. Alongside the two fatalities, one person not on the plane sustained injuries and was taken to the hospital. Initial reports suggest the plane may have been attempting to land at New Bedford Regional Airport, but did not provide relevant information to air traffic control. The victims' identities have not been disclosed, and the National Transportation Safety Board will spearhead the investigation. Updates will be provided as this story unfolds.
