Fatal Plane Crash Captured on Security Camera
The incident occurred on 9-28-25 around 12:12 pm at 20803 Stuebner Airline Rd. in North Harris County. The video footage, captured by the HCSO Air Operations closed circuit camera, shows the crash at the top right of the video. The aircraft involved was a 1972 Cessna 340 twin-engine airplane registered with the tail number N269WT. The plane was taking off northbound when it experienced mechanical issues, prompting the pilot to attempt a return landing northbound. Unfortunately, the plane fell short of the runway and crashed. Tragically, the two senior occupants on board did not survive the crash. At present, there is no further information available. The incident is being investigated by the FAA and NTSB, and Sgt. Richard Standifar of DPS is available for statements.
