Fatal pedestrian accident on Ohio 2
Authorities in Vermilion Township, Erie County are seeking assistance in solving a tragic incident involving a pedestrian collision on Ohio 2. Early Sunday morning, a 57-year-old woman was found lying in the outside lane westbound, with her vehicle parked nearby. Despite efforts to notify her family promptly, detectives are puzzled by the circumstances leading to her being outside her vehicle on or near the road. They are treating the case as a hit-skip crash. A passerby alerted authorities at a nearby gas station, indicating that the woman's SUV was found with no lights on. Detectives are reaching out to the public for any information that could aid in the investigation. Ohio 2 was temporarily closed to assist with the investigation.
