Fatal pedestrian accident at State Street crossing in Springfield
A tragic incident occurred in Springfield on Friday night, resulting in the death of a woman after a pedestrian crash. According to Ryan Walsh, spokesperson for the Springfield Police, a car accident involving a pedestrian took place around 9:30 p.m. near the State and Pleasant Street intersection. The adult female pedestrian was taken to Baystate Medical Center, where she later passed away from her injuries. The driver involved in the accident stayed on the scene and assisted authorities. The Springfield Police Department Traffic Unit is now looking into the details of the incident.
