Fatal motorcycle crash on Tri-State Tollway
A fatal crash involving a motorcycle and a commercial vehicle occurred early Tuesday morning on the Tri-State Tollway in the south suburbs of Chicago. The collision, which happened at around 1:30 a.m. in the southbound lanes of I-294 near Kedzie Avenue, resulted in the death of one individual. The victim, whose identity has not yet been released, was pronounced dead at the scene by Illinois State Police. Fortunately, no other injuries were reported. Following the incident, southbound lanes were temporarily closed for investigation, but all lanes were reopened by 5:15 a.m. Authorities have not disclosed the circumstances leading to the crash or which vehicle the victim was riding at the time.
