Fatal motorcycle crash on I-64 near Robin Hood Road
A man from Norfolk passed away on Saturday afternoon following a solo motorbike accident on I-64 westbound near the Robin Hood Road exit, as reported by the Virginia State Police. The troopers were alerted to the scene at 4 p.m. and discovered the rider unconscious. They initiated CPR until medical help arrived. The motorcyclist, identified as Elijah Daniel Young, a 24-year-old from Norfolk, was transported to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The investigators noted that Young was operating a 2024 Kawasaki motorcycle at a high speed and maneuvering through traffic. During an attempt to exit at Robin Hood Road, the motorbike collided with a guardrail, throwing him from the vehicle. The incident is still being looked into, with state police confirming that the family has been informed.
