Fatal motorcycle crash near Delmar Loop
In St. Louis, a tragic incident occurred near the Delmar Loop on Friday afternoon involving a Metro Bus and two motorcyclists. Regrettably, one of the motorcyclists, identified as 31-year-old Alvin Garvin, lost his life in the crash. Another motorcyclist, a 19-year-old, was also injured when he narrowly avoided colliding with the bus but was subsequently thrown from his motorcycle. Both the bus driver, a 61-year-old woman, and a passenger on the bus were taken to the hospital with injuries. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department responded to the scene around 11 a.m. Officials shared that the crash happened as the motorcyclists were traveling northbound on Skinker Boulevard and the Metro Bus turned left into their path at the intersection of Skinker and Enright Avenue. The injured motorcyclist is currently hospitalized in serious condition. Further information is pending, and FOX 2 will provide updates as they become available.
