Fatal motorcycle crash near Carthage claims life of Bonner Springs rider
Sadly, a man from Bonner Springs, Kansas, became the 100th traffic fatality in southwest Missouri in 2025. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reported that the 41-year-old man passed away in a motorcycle accident on I-49 near Carthage. The incident occurred on Friday afternoon when his northbound Harley-Davidson veered off the left side of the road, striking a post and overturning. Jasper County Coroner James Harrison pronounced the man deceased at the scene. This tragedy marked the 100th fatality for Highway Patrol Troop D in southwest Missouri for the year 2025.
