Fatal motorcycle crash causes traffic jam on I-880 near Oakland Coliseum
A fatal motorcycle collision on Sunday evening near the Oakland Coliseum resulted in traffic congestion on Interstate 880, as confirmed by the California Highway Patrol. The accident involved a motorcycle and a vehicle on the southbound side of I-880 near Hegenberger Road around 4:40 p.m. Unfortunately, the motorcyclist lost their life at the site of the crash. Following this incident, the two right lanes of the interstate were closed for several hours, leading to a visible traffic backup extending beyond the 66th Avenue exit.
