Fatal motorcycle accident shuts down Grand Avenue in Peoria
A fatal collision between a motorcycle and another vehicle has caused the closure of Grand Avenue in Peoria on Sunday morning. The incident occurred close to the intersection of Grand Avenue and Peoria Avenue around 6:57 a.m. Sadly, the motorcyclist, identified as 70-year-old Michael Anthony Bianco, was transported to a nearby hospital in critical condition and subsequently passed away due to his injuries. Law enforcement has stated that impairment is not believed to have contributed to the crash. As investigations are ongoing at the site, Grand Avenue remains shut down in both directions between 83rd and 84th avenues.
