Fatal hit-and-run crash on I-40 East near West Gate City Blvd, per Greensboro PD
A motorcyclist was tragically killed in a collision on Friday night, as reported by the Greensboro Police Department. The incident occurred on Interstate 40 East near West Gate City Boulevard just before 11 p.m. Emergency responders from Greensboro Police, Greensboro Fire, and Guilford County EMS were on the scene. The motorcyclist, who was traveling east on I-40, collided with a car. The identity of the motorcyclist will be shared by the police once their next of kin have been informed. Authorities are searching for a dark green or black sedan that was involved in the crash but left the scene. The vehicle is believed to have a scrape or scuff mark on the left rear wheel/fender. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
