Fatal head-on collision on I-80 in Colfax claims 2 lives
A tragic accident occurred in Colfax early Saturday morning, as reported by the Placer County Sheriff's Office. Two individuals lost their lives in a collision on eastbound Interstate 80, near Highway 174, around 6 a.m. The incident involved a car going the wrong way and a large truck, with the car's occupants succumbing to the crash while the truck driver was unharmed. Eastbound I-80 had to be shut down for approximately three hours, reopening for traffic at 9:20 a.m.
