Fatal head-on collision in Windham
Tragically, there was a fatal head-on collision on Route 111 Friday night near Fellows Road at around 10:20 p.m. Windham Fire Department responders found one vehicle facing east and an SUV facing west. Regrettably, the person trapped in the SUV passed away at the scene due to the severe injuries sustained. The driver of the other vehicle was taken to Parkland Medical Center with arm, head, and chest injuries, fortunately not life-threatening. Route 111 was temporarily closed between Fellows Road and Lowell Road but reopened by 1:30 a.m. The Windham Fire Department reported that the crash remained under investigation by the Windham Police Department and the Derry Police Department's Technical Accident Reconstruction Unit as of 8 a.m. on Saturday.
