Fatal head-on collision in western Fayetteville injures child and others, driver dies
Over the weekend, Fayetteville experienced a tragic two-vehicle collision resulting in a fatality. The incident occurred on Saturday night near the intersection of Cliffdale and Rim roads. According to authorities, one of the drivers was traveling in the wrong direction on Cliffdale Road. Emergency responders swiftly attended to the scene, transporting the drivers to a local hospital. Unfortunately, one driver succumbed to their injuries at the hospital. Additionally, a child and a passenger were taken to Cape Fear Valley Hospital for treatment. The Fayetteville Police Department's Traffic Unit is actively investigating the situation, and traffic in the area was affected following the crash.
