Fatal head-on collision in Madison County
A fatal accident occurred in Madison County resulting in one casualty and another individual sustaining injuries. The Mississippi Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation into the crash involving an SUV and a car that occurred at 6 a.m. on Wednesday. The collision happened on Highway 16 near Davis Road when the vehicles collided head-on. Regrettably, Janet Scott from Yazoo, aged 63, lost her life in the accident. The driver of the SUV was transported to the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson for treatment of undisclosed injuries.
