
Fatal head-on collision claims Marion woman
An accident occurred on Wednesday afternoon in front of Oak Hill High School in Grant County, Indiana, resulting in a tragic fatal head-on collision. The Grant County Sheriff's Department is investigating the incident that involved a black BMW and a white Chevrolet on State Roads 18 and 13. Witnesses reported that the BMW was driving recklessly before crossing the centerline and crashing into the other vehicle causing it to catch fire. Officials arrived on the scene and rescued the injured drivers from the burning vehicles. One driver, a 45-year-old woman from Marion, sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to a hospital in Fort Wayne, while the other driver unfortunately did not survive. The police have not disclosed further details pending notification of the victim's family.
