Fatal crash on Weber Rd. results in two deaths and four injuries
Early Saturday morning, a tragic multiple-vehicle accident on Weber Road resulted in two fatalities and four injuries, as reported by the Corpus Christi Police Department. Traffic authorities responded to the scene around 6:30 a.m. after a collision occurred between two vehicles near Tripoli Drive. The initial investigation revealed that the at-fault vehicle, traveling northbound, failed to yield at a left turn, leading to a collision with a southbound vehicle. The resulting impact caused severe injuries, with one person dying on the scene and another passenger succumbing to injuries at the hospital. The driver of the second vehicle also lost their life, while another passenger sustained serious injuries and the at-fault vehicle's occupants had a mix of non-life-threatening and life-threatening injuries. The driver responsible is facing charges of Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault. The incident is still under investigation.
