Fatal crash on Weber Rd. leaves two dead and three injured

Two individuals were tragically killed and three others were injured in a multi-vehicle collision that occurred early Sunday morning on Weber Road, as reported by the Corpus Christi Police Department. The incident took place around 6:30 a.m. near Tripoli Drive. Upon responding to the call, officers discovered a two-vehicle crash with several casualties. A male victim lost his life at the scene of the accident. Traffic investigators were summoned due to the severity of the incident. The vehicle at fault was heading north on Weber Road, while the second vehicle was traveling south. The responsible driver failed to yield the right of way during a left turn, resulting in a collision with the southbound vehicle. All three occupants of the at-fault vehicle were ejected. The female driver and female front passenger sustained life-threatening injuries and were transported to a local hospital, where the front passenger later succumbed to her injuries. The male passenger in the back was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. Emergency responders determined that the male driver of the second vehicle passed away at the scene, while the female front passenger was hospitalized with serious injuries. The driver of the at-fault vehicle is facing pending charges of Intoxication Manslaughter and Intoxication Assault. The investigation remains ongoing.
