Fatal crash on Route 6 bridge, one driver dead and second injured
A 41-year-old man from Massachusetts tragically passed away in a severe collision on the New Bedford-Fairhaven Bridge, reports the Bristol County district attorney’s office. The incident occurred on Wednesday morning involving a Mazda Miata and a Chevrolet Silverado. The Mazda sustained significant damage to the front end and collided with the Silverado while crossing the bridge. The driver of the Mazda, identified as Gregory Crook McGuire, was fatally injured and taken to St. Luke’s Hospital. The driver of the Silverado, a 26-year-old man, was hospitalized with minor injuries. The crash is currently being investigated by the Massachusetts State Police and the Bristol County district attorney’s office, with no charges anticipated at this time.
