Fatal Crash on IH-20 in Midland County Caused by Tire Blowout
A man from Colorado City, aged 29, passed away after a solo car accident on Interstate 20 in Midland County. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the incident occurred close to mile marker 147 around 7 p.m. on August 20. As per the investigation, a 2007 Kia Sorento was heading eastbound when its left rear tire burst, causing the vehicle to swerve off the road and overturn. The driver, identified as Harley D. Henderson, was thrown from the car as he was not wearing a seatbelt. Henderson was transferred to Midland Memorial Hospital but succumbed to his injuries on August 24. Authorities continue to investigate the crash.
