Fatal crash on I-35 bridge in Georgetown involves truck.

In Georgetown, a tragic incident occurred when a man named Jonathon Scott Morgan sustained fatal injuries in a crash caused by a truck colliding with a bridge over I-35. The bridge collapsed as Morgan was driving underneath it on September 2. Despite turning 42 while in the ICU just days after the accident, Morgan tragically passed away on the evening of September 9. His family, represented by attorneys Daniel Sciano & Kimberly Kayatta, announced their intention to pursue legal action against the truck company Austin Underground Incorporated and the driver Alan Collins. The family had already initiated a lawsuit against Collins and the company, with plans to seek compensation for the wrongful death of Jonathon Morgan. The truck company and driver are being represented by the law firm Thompson Coe, who stated that the investigation is ongoing. The Georgetown Police Department has not yet released the tractor, trailer, and excavator involved in the crash.
