Fatal crash on Highway 17 claims one life on Sunday morning.
A tragic incident occurred on Sunday morning on Highway 17, resulting in the loss of one life. The accident occurred at approximately 5:20 a.m. on the northbound lane of Highway 17 near Santa's Village Road. The California Highway Patrol reported that an unidentified driver collided a gray Nissan into a road sign and a call box before leaving the accident site. Shortly after, a motorcyclist collided with the back of the Nissan, causing the rider to be thrown from the motorcycle and tragically succumb to the injuries at the scene. The California Highway Patrol is currently conducting an investigation and is actively seeking the driver of the Nissan.
