Fatal crash on DuSable Lake Shore Drive in South Side Chicago
A tragic accident on Chicago's South Side early Sunday morning led to the closure of DuSable Lake Shore Drive. Around 4:24 a.m., a 33-year-old man was driving a Kia sedan south on the Drive near Oakwood Boulevard, along with a passenger. The Kia collided with a Chevrolet sedan carrying two individuals who both lost their lives at the scene. The Kia driver was transported to the University of Chicago Medical Center and stabilized with injuries of unknown severity, while his passenger was also taken to the same hospital and stabilized. The incident is under investigation by the police Major Accident Investigation Unit.
