
Fatal crash near Grovespring injures two teenagers
A tragic incident occurred near Grovespring, Missouri, when a single-vehicle accident resulted in the death of a 13-year-old and injuries to two other teenagers on the evening of Sunday, September 21. The Missouri State Highway Patrol responded to the crash on MO-M just one mile west of Grovespring at around 7:46 p.m. The collision involved a 2001 Ford Explorer SUV that veered off the road, flipped over, and ejected two passengers before coming to a stop back on MO-M. Regrettably, the 13-year-old male passenger from Grovespring did not survive the accident. A 14-year-old male from Niangua sustained severe injuries and was rushed to Cox South Hospital in Springfield, while the 16-year-old male driver from Grovespring was transported to Mercy Hospital with minor injuries. This marks the 26th fatality for MSHP Troop G in 2025.
