Fatal Crash Leads to Arrest
On Friday night around 10:30 p.m., authorities from the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a collision at US Hwy 24 and 26th Street involving a pedestrian who tragically did not survive. The incident also involved officials from the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) and the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD). The driver of the vehicle initially fled the scene but was later apprehended by CSPD and CSP. Authorities suspect that alcohol played a role in the crash. Cameron Walsh has been arrested by CSPD and is currently held at the El Paso County Jail on a $25,000 bond. At this time, the victim's identity has not been disclosed.
