Fatal crash involving tractor-trailer in Keene
An unfortunate accident occurred in Keene, N.Y., involving a tractor-trailer and a car, resulting in the tragic death of a Saranac Lake woman. The incident, which happened on NYS Route 73 around 4 p.m., involved a Freightliner tractor-trailer losing control on the slush-filled road, causing it to jackknife into the opposite lane. A Ford Escape driven by Tracy Mauler collided with the tractor-trailer, leading to her untimely passing. Beverly Pickreign, a passenger in the car, was critically injured and taken to UVM Medical Center. Thankfully, the driver of the tractor-trailer and occupants of another vehicle involved escaped unharmed.
