Fatal Crash Involving Semi-Truck on Highway 75 near Auburn
One individual passed away following an accident involving a semi-truck on Highway 75 near Auburn in the early hours of Wednesday morning, as per officials. The incident took place about three miles south of Auburn on Highway 75 at approximately 3:20 a.m. Authorities reported that a semi-truck was traveling southbound on Highway 75 when a Chrysler Town & Country heading northbound started to veer into the southbound lane. Despite efforts to avoid the collision, the truck driver was unable to do so, according to the Nemaha County Sheriff's Office. The van's driver, who was the sole occupant, was declared dead at the scene, although their identity has not been disclosed. The semi-truck driver was unharmed, stated the Nemaha County Sheriff's Office. Highway 75 was shut down for several hours on Wednesday morning and the cause of the crash is currently being investigated.
