Fatal crash in Washington County involving semi-truck and car
On Saturday morning, a tragic incident occurred in Washington County resulting in a fatality. The collision between a semi-truck and a car took place in the town of Addison at the intersection of Highway 175 and County Road S around 11:15 a.m. The driver of the car, a 32-year-old woman from Ripon, unfortunately passed away from her injuries after being extricated from the vehicle with the help of bystanders. The semi-truck driver, a 53-year-old man from Pennsylvania, sustained minor injuries and was treated at a hospital before being released. Initial reports suggest that the car failed to yield at a stop sign while traveling west on County Road S, leading to the collision with the southbound semi-truck. The intersection remained closed for approximately four hours as authorities conducted their investigation. This marks the fifth fatal accident in Washington County this year, as reported by the sheriff's office.
