Fatal crash in Pontiac claims lives of 3, including 2 children
A tragic incident occurred in Pontiac on Friday night, resulting in the deaths of two children and an adult, with a third child in critical condition. The Oakland County Sheriff's Office reported that a 2022 Honda Civic, driven by a 21-year-old Pontiac resident, veered into oncoming traffic, struck various objects, and then collided with a Chevy Malibu at an intersection. The Malibu's 37-year-old driver was pronounced dead, while a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old who were passengers also lost their lives. Another child, aged 9, from the Malibu is in critical condition. The Civic driver sustained injuries but is stable. Authorities suspect that speed played a role in the crash and are investigating the possible involvement of alcohol or drugs.
