Fatal crash in Milwaukee following police chase leaves three dead and two critically injured

Three individuals lost their lives and two others were seriously hurt when a police pursuit resulted in a fatal collision on Tuesday night in Milwaukee. The incident occurred around 35th and Vliet at 9:38 p.m. when a fleeing vehicle crashed into another car, causing the deaths of three occupants and leaving two individuals with severe injuries, as per authorities. The pursuit began when law enforcement officers spotted a driver exhibiting reckless behavior near 36th and Wright and tried to pull them over. The 19-year-old driver allegedly refused to stop, prompting the chase. Following the collision, the driver was apprehended and taken to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Additionally, two passengers in the fleeing vehicle sustained injuries that were not deemed life-threatening. While the identities of the crash victims have not been disclosed, they were identified as three adults by the police. Criminal charges will be forwarded to the Milwaukee County District Attorney's Office for review.
