
Fatal crash in Maryland injures 4 minors, kills woman
Authorities reported a tragic incident in Prince George's County where a woman lost her life and four young individuals were hurt in a collision. The accident occurred on Tuesday afternoon at the intersection of Sheriff Road and Martin Luther King Jr Highway. The deceased woman, aged 30, has not been publicly identified yet. Among the injured, a child, estimated to be between four and eight years old, was rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. Three other juveniles sustained serious injuries but are expected to survive. Following the unfortunate event, officials from Prince George's County, together with the police chiefs from the Prince George's County Police Department and Seat Pleasant Police Department, held a press briefing. The incident began around 4 p.m. when Seat Pleasant officers noticed a stolen vehicle. Although they did not engage in pursuit, they kept the car under observation. Eventually, they were instructed to cease following the vehicle as the department was arranging for aerial surveillance. The stolen vehicle, carrying four juveniles aged between 14 and 17, later collided with another car, driven by the aforementioned 30-year-old victim with her child onboard, who were described as innocent casualties. Furthermore, in a separate incident nearby, another stolen vehicle linked to the crash was involved in a separate collision. A young person was detained in connection with this additional event.
