Fatal crash in Manatee County involves teenagers: FHP
Two teenagers tragically lost their lives in a car crash in Manatee County early Saturday morning, while two others sustained serious injuries, as per authorities. The incident involved a single-car crash where a 19-year-old driver from Ellenton was speeding on Silverleaf Avenue near U.S. Highway 301 at around 2:15 a.m. The car veered off the road, colliding with trees. The driver and a 19-year-old passenger from Parrish died as a result. Two other passengers, a 17-year-old from Parrish and a 16-year-old female from New York, were in critical and serious condition, respectively. The female was the only one wearing a seat belt. The Florida Highway Patrol is currently investigating the crash.
