Fatal crash in Cranford leaves one teen dead, another critically injured: reports
An inquiry is currently ongoing in Cranford, New Jersey, regarding a possible deliberate car collision involving two teenage girls who were riding their bicycles on Monday evening. According to sources from PIX11, one of the teenagers has passed away, and the other is in critical condition. The investigation is exploring whether the male driver of the car purposely targeted one of the girls. Witnesses recounted to PIX11 News that the driver continued driving the SUV for a few more blocks after hitting the teens on Burnside Avenue, with one of the bicycles stuck in the vehicle's hood when it finally stopped on Lincoln Avenue West. The incident caused a temporary shutdown of the area while investigators sought to understand the sequence of events. The Cranford Police Department has refrained from commenting, but a spokesperson from the Union County Prosecutor's Office stated that the case is actively being looked into, with further details to be disclosed at a later time.
