Fatal crash in Chicago's Near West Side after rear-end collision, police report.
A fatal traffic accident occurred on the Near West Side of the city early Saturday morning, resulting in the death of a 30-year-old man. The incident took place around 2 a.m. on West Warren Boulevard when the victim's grey Hyundai sedan was struck from behind by a Black Dodge SUV driven by a 42-year-old man. The victim sustained critical injuries and was transported to Mt. Sinai Hospital, where he was later pronounced deceased. The driver of the Dodge was arrested, and charges are currently pending as of Saturday afternoon.
