Fatal crash in Brookfield claims lives of 2 and injures 1
A tragic incident occurred on Thursday evening, Nov. 6, when a head-on collision claimed the lives of two individuals and left another person injured. The Town of Brookfield Police Department reported that the crash took place at around 6:30 p.m. on Capitol Drive near Springdale Road. Sadly, a 91-year-old man and an 87-year-old woman from Brookfield lost their lives at the scene, while the third individual was hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. Law enforcement agencies, including the Town of Brookfield Police Department, City of Brookfield Police Department, Waukesha County Sheriff’s Department, Wisconsin State Patrol, Town of Brookfield Fire and Rescue, City of Brookfield Fire and Rescue, and the Waukesha County Medical Examiner’s Office, responded to the scene. The investigation is ongoing, and eastbound and westbound Capitol Drive between Barker Road and Springdale Road were expected to remain closed until at least 11 p.m.
