Fatal crash in American Fork Canyon
A fatal crash occurred on the Timpanogos Highway near American Fork Canyon early Monday morning. The Utah Highway Patrol reported that a 20-year-old driver lost control of his car, veered off the road, and collided with a rock wall. Unfortunately, the driver, whose identity remains undisclosed, was pronounced dead at the scene. Drowsiness is suspected to have played a role in the accident, which did not involve any other vehicles or injuries. The road was temporarily closed in both directions and later reopened at 6:30 a.m.
