Fatal crash in Adams County injures child and kills Port Gibson woman
Tragedy struck on the night of Tuesday, November 18, 2025, when a car accident occurred on Highway 61 in Adams County, resulting in the death of a woman from Port Gibson and serious injuries to a 3-year-old child. According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, the incident took place around 11 p.m. when a 2014 Honda Accord driven by Precious Clark, 26, veered off the road and collided with a concrete culvert. Despite the prompt response from authorities, Clark was pronounced dead at the scene, while the child, who was ejected from the vehicle, was rushed to Merit Health in Natchez for medical treatment. The investigation into the crash is currently being conducted by the MHP.
