Fatal crash closes southbound I-15 near St. George
WASHINGTON, Washington County — Southbound I-15 was closed due to a fatal crash near St. George early Friday, according to state troopers.A semitruck hit a pedestrian and at least one person was killed, said Utah Highway Patrol Lt. Cam Roden.Traffic officials alerted that southbound lanes are closed due to a crash just after 6 a.m. near Main Street in Washington and a separate alert said northbound lanes and the left shoulder of I-15 were blocked near Washington Parkway — about a mile northeast of the first crash — just before 7 a.m.UDOT has not said when the lanes will reopen and more information was not immediately available.This story will be updated.
