Police in Kentucky responded to a tragic accident involving a car and motorcycle that resulted in a fatality. The incident occurred on Ladder Lane in Carrollton on Friday, August 1, at around 3:11 p.m. Reports suggest that Ernie Proffitt, a 68-year-old individual from Florence, Indiana, was riding a Harley-Davidson motorcycle on Ladder Lane when he was struck by a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze driven by Elvis Soza Alarcon, a 51-year-old man from Carrollton, Kentucky. Proffitt tragically lost his life at the scene, as confirmed by the Carroll County Coroner's Office. The Kentucky State Police Post 5 in Campbellsburg is currently leading the investigation into the incident.
