Fatal crash claims life in Shepherd
In Shepherd, a tragic incident occurred on Sunday when a vehicle collided with a motorcycle, resulting in the death of the rider. The accident, which took place around 3:15 p.m. on U.S. Highway 312 near Shining Mountain Drive, was caused by the car following too closely behind the motorcycle. Authorities reported that both vehicles were headed eastbound when the rider slowed down, leading to the car striking the motorcycle from behind. The rider tragically passed away at the scene, while the driver of the car sustained minor injuries and was transported to the hospital.
