A tragic fatal school bus accident occurred in the northwest valley, as reported by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. The incident took place near Bradley Road and West Tropical Parkway close to Lied STEM Academy. The crash, which happened around 3:23 p.m., involved a 12-year-old girl on her bicycle colliding with the school bus and being thrown into another vehicle. The young girl, identified as Haylee Ryan, was critically injured and taken to UMC. Fortunately, none of the 55 students on the bus sustained injuries, and they were safely reunited with their families. This heartbreaking event follows another recent student tragedy involving Cristofer Suarez, who was fatally struck by a suspected DUI driver last week on his way to school.
