Fatal collision involving pickup truck and semi-truck in Spanish Fork Canyon
A fatal collision took place between a pickup truck and a semi-truck on a Utah County highway Sunday afternoon. The incident occurred near milepost 204 on U.S. Highway 6 in Spanish Fork Canyon at approximately 4:40 p.m. The pickup truck, traveling eastbound, lost control and spun around, coming to rest sideways in the oncoming lane where it was struck on the passenger side by the semi-truck. The pickup driver tragically passed away at the scene, while the semi-truck driver sustained minor injuries and did not require hospitalization. Utah Highway Patrol noted that the road was wet during the incident, and investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the crash.
