Fatal collision involving multiple vehicles in Elgin.
A multi-vehicle collision in Elgin has resulted in the tragic loss of two individuals, as confirmed by local authorities. The incident, which occurred at the junction of US 290 E and HWY 95 on October 4 around 6:53 p.m., involved severe injuries to several individuals due to a T-bone-style collision. Following the crash, three occupants of a single vehicle were transported to medical facilities in Austin. Unfortunately, two of them succumbed to their injuries. The deceased individuals, who were not residents of Elgin, have not yet been publicly identified. This marks the second fatal accident in Elgin for the year 2025.
