Fatal Collision in Chtouka Ait Baha Leaves 2 Dead, 18 Injured
A tragic road accident occurred on Sunday morning in the province of Chtouka Ait Baha, resulting in the loss of two women's lives and injuring over 18 individuals. The collision happened in Ait Ammar between a pickup truck carrying agricultural workers and another vehicle transporting goods, as reported by local authorities. Sadly, one victim passed away on the spot, while the second victim succumbed to injuries at the Mokhtar Soussi Regional Hospital, according to Ibrahim Fayez, the provincial representative of the Ministry of Health and Social Protection. Fayez also mentioned in a statement to SNRTnews that five critically injured individuals were rushed to the Hassan II Regional Hospital in Agadir for immediate treatment, while the remaining injured were cared for at the Mokhtar Soussi Regional Hospital in Chtouka Ait Baha. Authorities have not yet disclosed the specifics behind the collision, emphasizing the ongoing road safety challenges in Morocco's rural areas where workers often depend on unsafe or overcrowded means of transportation.
