Fatal collision between Amtrak train and car from New Orleans
The Pass Christian Police Department reported a collision between a vehicle and an Amtrak train resulted in two fatalities. The incident occurred at 7:14 p.m. as the train was en route from New Orleans to Mobile. Fortunately, none of the 97 passengers and crew members on the train were injured. The victims have been identified as Tavianna Ellegant, who died at the scene, and Douglas Craddock, who passed away at the hospital. Authorities are currently conducting an investigation into the crash.
