Fatal car crash in Stanton County
A man tragically lost his life in a solo car accident in Stanton County, Nebraska. The victim, identified as 50-year-old Steve Hastreiter, was discovered by Stanton County law enforcement on 559th Avenue near Madison. A statement from the Sheriff's Office indicated that Hastreiter, a farmer from Madison, was found after his truck veered off the gravel road and hit a dirt embankment. The authorities were alerted when the victim's loved ones began looking for him. Despite attempts to save him, Hastreiter was declared deceased at the accident site.
