Fatal car accident south of Oakdale
A man from Oakdale tragically passed away in a collision on Saturday night, as reported by the California Highway Patrol. The incident occurred on Albers Road, located approximately 4 miles south of Oakdale, involving three vehicles. The collision was initiated by a 1999 Chevrolet pickup making an unsafe left turn, resulting in a collision with a Volvo tractor trailer traveling in the opposite direction. The tractor trailer then veered left and collided with a Honda Accord following the Chevrolet. The Chevrolet driver, a 31-year-old Oakdale man, sustained serious injuries and unfortunately did not survive. The CHP suspects that alcohol may have been a contributing factor in the crash. The other individuals involved in the collision thankfully escaped injury.
