Fatal ATV crash claims life of 17-year-old in Roswell
A tragic incident occurred on Thursday night in Roswell, New Mexico, resulting in the death of a 17-year-old who was a passenger on an ATV. The Roswell Police Department reported that Anthony Palacios and a 20-year-old companion were involved in a collision with a Ford Escape at the intersection of West McGaffey Street and South Union Avenue at around 8:40 p.m. Palacios was rushed to the hospital but sadly passed away shortly after. The 20-year-old was taken to the hospital with injuries believed to be non-life-threatening. Fortunately, the driver of the Ford Escape, a 42-year-old woman, was unharmed. The Roswell Police Department’s Traffic Division, with support from the New Mexico State Police, is currently investigating the crash.
